Coach Hire

Many student groups who run trips also need to hire large transport. Whilst you can shop around for a quote, York SU have arranged a deal with Pullman’s coaches to offer discounts for your committee when booked directly through York SU.

If booking yourself, most companies will charge your committee via invoice. Once you have received the invoice, simply submit this to finance through the payment request process and it will be paid directly from your account. 

Coach Hire Tips

Make sure you establish the pick up and drop off point

Check the rules of the coach and communicate to students

If it’s a long way, check to see if they will make stops

Remind people who get motion sickness to bring medication

On the day, be sure to check students on and off the coach so you don't leave anyone behind!
